This discussion highlights two documentary films from CINEMANIA 2024, La cartomancie du territoire and Marche au pays réel. Participants will explore the identity challenges posed when representing these sacred spaces and the responsibilities filmmakers bear in their creative process. By sharing their experiences, the film teams will reflect on how cinema can authentically depict First Nations and Inuit territories while respecting their cultural and spiritual richness. This event provides a valuable opportunity to examine film's role in exploring the complex realities of Indigenous communities, fostering a dialogue around the values of respect and collaboration.
