This Roundtable Will Highlight RACCORD, the Sole National Organization Uniting Francophone Filmmakers in Canada’s Minority Francophone Communities
Founded in 2004 as the Front des réalisateurs indépendants du Canada (FRIC), RACCORD celebrates its 20th anniversary and recent rebranding as the Regroupement des artistes cinéastes de la francophonie canadienne.
Hosted by Bruno Boëz, RACCORD’s Executive Director, this event will feature three Franco-Ontarian filmmakers and RACCORD members: Jean Marc Larivière (co-founder), Nicole Blundell, and Jocelyn Forgues (former president). One of their works will be screened, followed by a discussion in which the filmmakers will share their insights on the sector’s development over the past two decades, their creative realities, personal journeys, convictions, achievements, and challenges. They will also discuss training opportunities, especially for emerging Franco-Ontarian talent.
