Short Documentary Film by Natalie Robichaud
In Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia, music has been pulsing through the Acadian community for generations. Born in a remote area known as “le Trécarré” hidden from the eyes of the priests this music remains vibrant and ever-evolving. Bluegrass, country, rock, punk, and hip-hop boldly intertwine, carried by artists like Grand Dérangement, Radio Radio, and Peanut Butter Sunday. Filmmaker Natalie Robichaud takes us deep into this lively musical scene, where every moment becomes a celebration. Trécarré : At the Source of the Sound of Baie Sainte-Marie captures the full energy of a music that’s not just listened to it's shared, danced, and fully lived.
