VENISE N'EXISTE PAS

VENISE N'EXISTE PAS

France | 16min47 | 2021
Director Ana Girardot
Cast Lou Lampros, Alexis Michalik
Producer Francesco Melzi d'Eril, Gabriele Moratti, Matthieu Zeller, Stella Rossa Savino, Antonio Myiakawa
Scriptwriter Ana Girardot
Tonight, Louise is convinced that Charles will finally ask her to marry him. But this night in Venice will be very different from the one she had imagined. Louise crosses the mirror of her dream, discovers that Venice does not exist and reveals herself to herself.

⇢ In competition for the AQCC-Nespresso Critics Award.
⇢ Presentation in partnership with the Festival International du Film de Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

The opinion of the artistic director of the International Film Festival of Saint-Jean-de-Luz :
With her first short film, Ana Girardot has succeeded in both an ultra-romantic film and a subtle critique of gender stereotypes. Her nocturnal escapade is absolutely magical, sparkling, twirling and ultimately liberating. With a wonderful heroine played by Lou Lampros and a not so charming prince played by the seductive Alexis Michalik. An exciting film that beautifully marks Ana Girardot's debut as a filmmaker.
