Mathieu, a family man and overworked entrepreneur, decides one day to go into the forest and stay there. This 40-year-old finds his paradise, on the edge of a lake that seems to have a curious attraction and calming power over him. Faced with this radical choice of freedom, those close to him are confronted with themselves and their choices. François Pirot, who notably co-wrote Joachim Lafosse's Élève libre and Nue Propriété, is now directing his second feature film, after Mobile Home (2012). He is surrounded by outstanding actors, including the quirky couple of Jérémie Renier and Suzanne Clément. A satire on our world too often trapped in performance and accumulation, which stands out for its continuously inventive tone.
