DIVERTIMENTO

 

At 17, Zahia Ziouani dreams of conducting an orchestra. Her twin sister, Fettouma, is a professional cellist. Since their childhood, they have been immersed in classical symphonic music. In turn, they now wish to make it accessible to all and in all territories. So, how can these ambitious dreams be accomplish in 1995 by an Algerian woman coming from Seine-Saint-Denis? Determined, their mentor (Niels Arestrup) will know how to prepare them to face adversity. Divertimento is a story of passion and courage which tells the true story of two sisters (played by actresses Oulaya Amamra and Lina El Arabi), who revolutionized the world of classical music.
