Six couples, six variations of desire, intimacy... and fantasies. Role-playing, exhibitionism or even abstinence...Whether these couples repress or assume their fantasies, whether they share them or silence them, they are all looking for the same thing: happiness, both their own and their partner’s !
CINEMANIA’s opinion:
The new comedy by the brothers Stephane and David Foenkinos, after DELICACY (2011) and JEALOUS, (2017) is above all a great actors’ film gathering a host of stars: Carole Bouquet, Nicolas Bedos, Denis Podalydès , Karin Viard, Monica Belluci, Jean-Paul Rouve as well as the Québécoise actress Suzanne Clément, particularly funny and adept in sexual role playing games. Without ever being vulgar, the directors’ naughty humour downplays the drama of the question of desire within a couple. Together, they have based their work on 250 fantasies catalogued by sexologists, choosing the most comical to compose the storyline of this film of quirky sketches that advocates for the freedom to embrace one’s craziest and most secret desires.
