STOP WITH YOUR LIES

Novelist Stéphane Belcourt has agreed to sponsor the bicentenary of a famous brand of cognac. It is the occasion for him to go back for the first time to the city he grew up in. Once there, during a book signing, he meets Lucas, the son of his first love. Memories come flooding in: the irrepressible desire, the bodies that unite, a passion that had to be kept secret... because his first love was called Thomas and they were 17. This first film adaptation of writer Philippe Besson's autobiographical account of a young love was long overdue. Director Olivier Peyon (Tokyo Shaking) takes up this challenge brilliantly, and offers a sensitive and passionate story. He also proves to be an excellent director of actors.
