Since 2014, in France, Restorative Justice has offered victims and offenders the opportunity to engage in dialogue in secure settings, facilitated by professionals and volunteers. Along their journeys, there is anger and hope, silence and words, alliances and ruptures, realizations, and restored trust. And at the end of the road, sometimes, there is repair. Jeanne Herry (known for In safe hands) directs a remarkable ensemble film that delicately explores the nuances of this socio-legal process developed in Quebec.
A round-table discussion on restorative justice will take place at the end of the screening at the museum cinema on November 4th.
