Philippe is a renowned writer whose life has been smooth sailing: a wife, a circle of high-society friends, and, most importantly, an imminent entry into the French Academy. However, Philippe suffers from excruciating back pain that poisons his existence. When he encounters the incredible Martha and her healing hands, his worldview changes. Between these two characters who are worlds apart, an unlikely friendship develops, giving them both the chance to finally seize the best that life can offer.
