The solitude of elderly people in nursing homes (the French equivalent of CHSLDs) is further exacerbated by a sudden bereavement from the outside. This is the drama experienced by Émilie, who then reaffirms her personality and wishes to rewrite her life, seeking revenge on those who have wronged her, and dragging a young cleaning woman into her vengeful flight. Gustave Kervern brings together the wonderfully unique elements of French cinema with his artistic family (Raphaël Quenard, Laure Calamy, etc.). One year after his Fiancée of the Poet, Yolande Moreau delivers another moving performance on solitude, with a Kill Bill facet that is as surprising as it is fascinating. It’s a reflection on mourning and forgiveness.
