In 1944, at a fake military base meant to mislead the German enemy, Denis Porte becomes convinced of the vital importance of his mission, even conversing with dummy soldiers. But a doctor friend and admirer of Charles de Gaulle drags him back to reality, pushing him to join the real troops preparing for the Normandy landings.
