Following an expenditure review, the Ministry of Labour applies major budget cuts to the civil services. Vincent, a peaceful employee working in the Water and Forestry Department, is asked to resign. But he resists at all costs. An overzealous inspector then decides to transfer him to the worst places in the world to force him to give up his civil servant privileges. Comedian Jérôme Commandeur, a master of satire and the absurd, offers a French remake of a successful Italian comedy (Quo Vado?) and turns it into a grating and irreverent film also starring Pascale Arbillot, Christian Clavier, Gérard Darmon, Valérie Lemercier and even Gérard Depardieu.
