The actress Charlotte Gainsbourg takes on the project of filming her mother, the incomparable Jane Birkin, with get closer to her mother, to better see and understand her. At first reserved, Birkin gradually gets on board, taking pleasure in being filmed and photographed. From New York to Tokyo, through Paris and Britany, the mother-daughter tandem candidly discusses art and motherhood, love and regrets, unveiling a moving transparency where the ghosts of the past hover and where music and film are magnificently intertwined.
