For several weeks, documentary filmmaker Sarah El Attar collected the testimonies of family members of victims of police violence. She retraces the stories of their brothers who were killed during arrests and follows the relentless struggle of individuals committed to seeking truth and justice despite the constant obstacles they face. An important narrative that delves into the systemic reality of police violence, exposing its mechanisms, while also paying tribute to the victims and the battles fought in their names.
Screening followed by discussion with Farid El Yamni (Collectif Justice et Vérité pour Wissam), Arnold Nguenti (Founder of Echo Banlieues media), Djigui Diarra (Filmmaker).
The day after the session, on November 12 at 3pm, there will be a conference organized by Hoodstock on police violence: a Quebec-France perspective.
