Aymeric's life, a "nice guy" with a calm personality, takes a turn when he falls in love with Florence and decides to raise the child she is expecting. However, a few years later, the biological father returns to their lives. The Larrieu brothers continue to explore themes of family and parentage, dividing the film into two distinct time periods. In the style of Claude Sautet, they refrain from judging any character, even those who might provoke dislike (Laetitia Dosch is particularly poignant). Actor Karim Leklou exudes generosity, much like his character. This film is much more than a story about a stepfather; it’s a reflection on early childhood and the lasting impact it leaves behind.
