On July 6, 2013, a runaway train pierced the night in Lac-Mégantic, carrying its 10,290 tons of oil. Rolling down a hill, the cars derailed in the city center, incinerating the heart of a community and claiming the lives of 47 innocent people. Director Philippe Falardeau reveals that the accident theory doesn't hold up. Through touching testimonies and the words of key figures, the director traces the path of a time bomb and tells how, ten years later, the citizens of Lac-Mégantic have not finished suffering the repercussions. The series unveils the impunity of railway companies and the laissez-faire of the authorities. It shows that despite the deaths, nothing has really changed.
