François Ozon’s erotic thriller traces the story of a stunning young woman, Chloé (Marina Vacth) in a love affair with her psychoanalyst Dr. Paul Meyer (Jérémie Renier). Their sexual passion for one another knows no bounds and they soon move-in together. All goes well until Chloé discovers that her lover has an estranged identical twin brother...What follows leads us to wonder if some of the wild on-screen eroticism is actual or fantasy-imagery in Chloé’s head? We’re definitely in Hitchcockian psychological mode. It’s enthralling and entertaining, not the least the on-screen appearance of the wonderful Jacqueline Bisset as a mother figure and Myriam Boyer as a campy and kooky cat-sitter!
