The attacks by the terrorist group Boko Haram in the village of Kolofata, in the Extreme North of Cameroon, have been ongoing since 2013. Although their actions have become less frequent, the threat remains real and omnipresent. In this post-apocalyptic setting, children in classrooms adapt and reinvent themselves, juggling Western education, Quranic studies, and immense household and agricultural responsibilities. The main characters of this tragedy are Falta, Ladji, Ibrahim, Mohammed, Ismaela, and Maloum. Cyrielle Raingou's camera captures the unwavering vitality of these children, all aged between 4 and 11. The film won the Golden Tiger at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2023.
