1958, Lebanon. Three sisters of Christian faith live in a village nestled in the mountains. Under the summer sun of the countryside, they live comfortably, but this summer languor conceals some very dark aspects: the eldest, Layla, rebels against the patriarchal society where women's destinies are predetermined, at the cost of abandoning her little son.
