An immersion into the last years of composer Michel Legrand's life, showcasing his recordings and performances in a documentary essay about the demands of a creator until the very last day, despite his status as a world-renowned artist. The film features scenes from Demy's films, archival footage of their collaborations on Les Parapluies and Peau d’Âne, unreleased recordings with Barbra Streisand on Yentl, and insights into the creation of Thomas Crown. As a close friend of the artist, David Hertzog Dessites captures a character who is immensely funny and complex. The work is modest, especially when the opposite could have been so easy. It offers a rare moment of emotion.
