Arnaud des Pallières (MICHAEL KOHLHAAS), was inspired by the life of his co-screenwriter Christelle Berthevas in his portrayal of the 4 stages of the life of one woman. The 4 have different names – mature Renee (Adèle Haenel), young flirty lesbian Sandra (Adèle Exarchopoulos) who’s moving to Paris, precocious teenager Karine (Solène Rigot) desperately seeking male attention, and lastly, 6 year-old Kiki (Vega Cuzytek) who participates in a tragic game of ‘hide & seek’.

All 4 actresses shared the Bayard d’Or award for Best Actress at Namur Film Festival (and ORPHAN won Best Picture) in 2016. It’s the story of a single complex individual portrayed from an entirely fresh angle.
