Gabrielle, Elsa and Mao, (Vanessa Paradis, Camille Cottin, Pierre Deladonchamps) are siblings, but they definitely don’t get along. To the immense displeasure of her adolescent son, Gabrielle poses as “a living statue” in public and solicits “donations”. Elsa, is angry at the world and desperately unhappy to find herself with an unplanned pregnancy. And Mao is a brilliant video game designer who’s chronically depressed, drowning his dejection with drink and psychotherapy. Parents Pierre and Claudine have been separated seemingly forever and have never cemented family ties. And yet, togetherness at grandfather’s funeral begs the tough family question “how can we now help Granny?”
