A group of female roommates from Marseille fantasizes about their neighbor, whom they watch lustfully from the balcony facing his. One invitation later, they find themselves caught in a nightmare that tests their principles of freedom. Noémie Merlant plays with all the codes in her jubilant second film: the seemingly naive objectified woman (Almodóvar), girls flirting from the balcony (like in Friends), and an ultra-colorful aesthetic (Jeunet), creating one of the most feminist films of the year. It even dares to make a mark in the genre cinema with a well-received erotic-horror twist showcased in the Midnight Screenings at Cannes. A film that resonates with one of the feminist totems of the filmmaker: Promising Young Woman.
