In love with painting and poetry, Mireille manages her job as a waitress at the cafeteria of the Fine Arts in Charleville while making ends meet through small thefts and cigarette smuggling. Unable to maintain the large family house she inherits, Mireille decides to take in three tenants. Three men who will disrupt her routine and, unknowingly, prepare her for the return of the fourth: her youthful love, the poet.
