The true story of Jan Bojarski, known as the “Cézanne of counterfeiters,” who secretly produced forged banknotes in his garden without anyone’s knowledge, not even his family’s. The film follows the extraordinary investigation to find him and reveals the clever tricks he used to evade the police, especially his rival, Commissioner Mattei. Jean-Paul Salomé turns the story into a modern western-style duel between Reda Kateb and Bastien Bouillon. Like in Female agents, Jean-Paul Salomé draws from real events while moving away from documentary realism, embracing the energy and style of the action film that defines his work.
