First-time director-screenwriter-actress Hafsia Herzi creates the ultimate “film d’auteur”. She’s on screen 100% of running time, recounting 3-days in the life of Lila, recently jilted by Rémi - she’s taking the rupture very hard. Rémi is off to Bolivia “to find himself” but he never stops calling. Lila tries to move on in a funny and touching way – her self-therapy leads to several mini-trysts over 3 days of urban wandering, sexual adventures that morph into bedroom farce.
Special mention goes to the hilariously-talented Djanis Bouzyani” who plays Lila’s off-the-wall pal Ali. The film’s inspiration comes from a poem by Frida Kahlo, “How to Deal with a Broken Heart”.
