Juste (Thimotée Robart), wanders the streets of Paris looking for people only he can see. He collects their last memories before helping them into the afterlife. Agathe (Judith Chemla), recognizes him. She belongs to Juste’s life before he died. She’s alive, and he is, “a ghost”. Can these two seize a second chance and re-kindle their metaphysical love?
Director Stéphane Batut’s prize-winning film is a beautiful and lyrical allegory of everlasting love, allowing conversations between the dead and the living, performed with tenderness yet without irony. Batut comments – “there’s a miraculous connection between the images and the music”.
