A hard blow strikes an 18-year-old from the Jura, forcing him to leave his carefree, bohemian life to provide for his younger sister and take over their father's farming operations. Filmmaker and screenwriter Louise Courvoisier (30) generated enthusiasm among critics and audiences at Cannes and Angoulême with her debut feature, shot entirely in her native Jura, featuring only non-professional actors whose first steps on screen exude stunning sincerity and accuracy (Clément Faveau is magnificent). It’s an exploration of grief, brotherhood, friendship, and a love letter to local farmers.
