After a 2020 edition that was entirely online, but which nevertheless kept all its promises, CINEMANIA will invite audiences back in front of the big screen in 2021, while maintaining an online version accessible throughout Canada. For the 27th edition, a Quebec film will open the festival for the first time, thus reaffirming its French-language vocation. However, French films remain the backbone of CINEMANIA’s programming.
Thanks to the support of a major number of Canadian distributors, the festival’s organizers will present some of the most outstanding and acclaimed French productions of the year. Pluralist, bold, committed, ambitious: the 2021 CINEMANIA selection reflects today’s French directors and actors.
UniFrance is proud to support the festival in its efforts to highlight these established and emerging talents, and to accompany, through this initiative, the return of spectators to Canadian cinemas.
We wish you a very enjoyable festival and long live cinema!
