13th RENCONTRES DE COPRODUCTION FRANCOPHONE - November 8-11, 2016

An important CINEMANIA Film Festival “first” this year is the hosting of the RCF (Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone) in collaboration with SODEC (Société de Développement des Enterprises Culturelles of Quebec). The RCF comprises nearly 200 film industry and virtual reality professionals and 80 of their members are expected to attend the conference to be held for the first time in Montreal during CINEMANIA.
From November 8-11, workshops, meetings and networking cocktail parties will take place at Hotel Sofitel Golden Mile (the official CINEMANIA Festival hotel), as well as at the Cinémathèque Québécoise and at the Imperial Cinema. Accredited industry professionals will be able to take advantage of the convivial atmosphere created by CINEMANIA and SODEC, to meet their counterparts from other Francophone regions particularly Quebec, and to exchange ideas and discuss potential projects.
The 2016 CINEMANIA Festival program premieres 40 feature films from many different Francophone countries and presents RCF participants with a unique opportunity to discover and attend screenings of the latest and best films across a diverse number of cultural and geographic regions. The 2016 CINEMANIA program includes many co-productions: A KID (LE FILS DE JEAN) by Philippe Lioret (Quebec-France), WULU by Daouda Coulibaly (Senegal-Mali-France), SOUVENIR by Bavo Defurne (Luxembourg-Belgium-France), to name but a few!
