SPREAD YOUR WINGS (Donne-moi des ailes) by Nicolas Vanier, the Festival’s 25th Anniversary Closing Film, Sunday November 17th at the Imperial Cinema, stars Jean-Paul Rouve (C’est la Vie!) and Mélanie Doutey (Sink or Swim). The film was adapted from the novel by Christian Moullec based on his own life story. At the heart of the film are parallel narratives of a father and son’s tender relationship and their dedication to urgent environmental issues.

Inspired by war correspondent Paul Marchand’s eponymous autobiography, the film places us at the heart of the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war, providing a fresh slant on the bitterest of conflicts in Balkan history.
ANTIGONE - SPECIAL EVENT*
The drama by Quebec director Sophie Deraspe revolving around an immigrant family, transposes classical Greek mythology by Sophocles to modern-day Montreal. A special screening is planned on Tuesday November 5th at 7:00PM at the Théatre Outremont.
