SEMINAR: CINEMATOGRAPHY EDUCATION

Under the auspices and encouragement of the Consulate general of France in Quebec, CINEMANIA and Mediafilm are organizing, for the third consecutive year, two mornings of workshops seminars through the analysis of two films, on November 17 and 18. These 2 sessions are specifically designed for high school teachers who are interested in exploiting the pedagogical potential of cinema.
The two films, one from Quebec and one from France, will be available in advance for an exclusive free screening by teachers.
For each of the workshops, interpretation and pedagogical keys will be offered to the public through a dialogue between different speakers in pedagogy and cinema.

*Analysis of the film, thoughts on the educational potential of the film, discussion with the public led by three speakers.
⇢ Anne-Marie Cousineau - Retired literature and theater teacher at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. She has written several pedagogical support files (QC).
⇢ Thomas Carrier-Lafleur - Postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Université de Montréal and Research Coordinator at the CinéMédias Laboratory (QC).
