1. FACES OF FRANCOPHONIE COMPETITION

The Faces of Francophonie Competition Jury was co-chaired by Julie Gayet (actress and producer) and Julie Le Breton (actress). They were supported in their task by Victor Belmondo (actor), Caroline Dhavernas (actress), Thierry Suc (producer and agent), Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette (author, director, and activist), Francis Leclerc (director and screenwriter), and Christophe Tardieu (Secretary General of the France Télévisions group).

Colombier-Dompierre Award for Best Music

Presented by Thierry Suc and ÉCHO SONORE, in partnership with the Consulate General of France in Quebec

Olivier Marguerit for the music of the film Une Part Manquante (directed by Guillaume Senez)

2. QUEBEC FILMS COMPETITION

The Quebec Films Competition Jury was chaired by Laurence Herszberg (General Director of the Séries Mania Festival). The jury was completed by Kerem Ayan (Director of the Istanbul Film Festival), Marianne Bédé (General Director of Canal+ International Canada), Jacques K. Primeau (producer and artist manager), Roxanne Sayegh (General Director of Beaubien, Parc, and Museum cinemas), and Guillaume Sapin (distributor and Artistic Director of the Vues du Québec festival in Florac).

3. Documentary Competition

From the We Build Change 2024 cohort, the Documentary Competition Jury consisted of Sherianne Bekhti (co-founder of Malfamé and diversity and inclusion consultant), Leela Issa (screenwriter and director's agent at Film Talents), Johanna Nahon (co-founder of After Hour Productions and member of the Cannes Film Festival selection committee), Marine Plagne (founder of Provence Campus), and Xinyu Zhou (production manager at Spade).

Planète+ Award for Best Documentary

"Madame Hofmann" by Sébastien Lifshitz

The jury awarded 2 special mentions for:

4. Short Film Competition

The Short Film Competition Jury was chaired by Chloé Robichaud (director and screenwriter) as president, along with Lennikim (actor and singer) and Léa Clermont-Dion (director and author).

It is with great joy that we reveal the Air Canada Audience Award for the 30th edition of CINEMANIA… After an incredibly close vote, the magnificent film “EN FANFARE” by Emmanuel Courcol takes the prize this year! Its North American premiere, accompanied by the Swing Tonic Jazz Band, was one of the highlights of this edition.
Distributed by Axia Films, the film will be in theaters across Quebec starting February 2025.
