A recognized specialist in dermo-cosmetic skincare for over 75 years, EMBRYOLISSE is a 100% French brand that has chosen to strengthen its transatlantic ties by stepping onto the CINEMANIA red carpet for the very first time.

Already available in several retail locations in Canada in pharmacies and specialty boutiques the brand continues to expand rapidly in North America. Its growing presence in the region reflects a strong ambition to win over a broader audience, particularly in the fields of cinema, television, and events (film sets, fashion, festivals, etc.).

Last January, during the 28th edition of the Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival, a CINEMANIA partner, Embryolisse played a key role by actively supporting makeup artists and artistic teams throughout the event. On the other side of the Atlantic, in Montreal, the brand will now underline its commitment by joining CINEMANIA as a new main partner, alongside Air Canada, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, and Crave, for the 31st edition.

CINEMANIA d’honneur : a new association

Embryolisse’s presence this year will begin with its association to the CINEMANIA d’honneur at the 31st edition an award that now bears the brand’s name. This distinction is given to an iconic female figure of francophone cinema.

The CINEMANIA d’honneur is a symbolic award presented to a Quebec artist deeply engaged in promoting the French-speaking world, someone who uses her voice and career to elevate Quebec beyond borders. In 2024, the award was presented to the talented actress Anne Dorval (Mommy, Matthias and Maxime by Xavier Dolan) during our annual Benefit Gala.

Brand History

The origins of Embryolisse trace back to the laboratory of Dr. Tricot, a dermatologist at Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris, with the creation of the iconic Lait-Crème Concentré in 1950. A unique, natural, and universal product that, five years later, was listed in the Dictionnaire des spécialités pharmaceutiques (Vidal). The brand’s guiding principle is to make quality skincare accessible and adaptable to all. Notably, they supported healthcare workers in France in 2020 by distributing 20,000 skincare products in hospitals to help relieve the tired skin of hospital staff.

Impressed by Embryolisse’s commitment to its customers, CINEMANIA has chosen to forge a strong partnership, marking its very first foray into the world of beauty and skincare. Both entities share a common goal: to support the promotion of francophone know-how and reach a universal audience.
