This year, CINEMANIA opens the doors to a Morocco in full cinematic effervescence.
A vibrant and daring cinema, one that dares to question the world through singular, sensitive, and powerful voices. These films delve into intimacy and human connection, explore social realities and urban ferment, and tell stories of desire, anger, and hope in a society on the move. At times poetic, at times irreverent, but always profoundly human, Moroccan cinema draws us into worlds where humor, emotion, and freedom of tone intertwine.
Dive into a creative territory turned toward the future, where filmmakers open themselves to the world, multiply collaborations, and make their stories shine on the international stage.
This exceptional spotlight invites you to discover a cinema in the process of reinvention driven by a generation of creators who, each in their own way, challenge, inspire, and captivate.

A joint exhibition by Sofia Alaoui & Sofia El Khyari
CINEMANIA invites cinephiles to discover the work of two Moroccan filmmakers who explore the cinematic medium in very different ways, yet remain connected by a common quest: to reflect on the living, the real, and our relationship with beings and things. Through the film stills of Animalia by Sofia Alaoui and the preparatory drawings and watercolors of L’Ombre des papillons by Sofia El Khyari, the images transform and respond to one another. They open a suspended space where cinema becomes poetic matter, a memory of movement, and symbolic writing.
