Biography

Christophe Chauffour is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais (RMN–Grand Palais). A graduate of Sciences Po Bordeaux, he holds two master’s degrees, one in Contemporary History and another in European Studies, and is also a former student of the École nationale d’administration (ENA, Willy Brandt class). He has built a distinguished career in the senior civil service. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister of Culture, then as Deputy Director for Financial Affairs at the Ministry, before heading Human Resources Policy at the Ministry of the Armed Forces. In 2022, he joined the RMN–Grand Palais, where he plays a key role in the site’s renovation and management. A regular interlocutor of the Senate and the cultural sector, he advocates for a strategic and ambitious vision for France’s national museums. He is a Knight of the National Order of Merit in recognition of his service to the public sector.
