Having grown up under Pinochet’s military dictatorship in Chile before finding refuge in Canada during his adolescence, Cristo is now an internationally renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist, honored with 4 Emmy Awards and a BAFTA. His classical music training, combined with a unique inventiveness, has opened a new dimension in film music and earned him an iconic status. He is known for his memorable compositions on cult series such as Utopia (C4), Black Mirror, The White Lotus, as well as the surprise box office hit Smile (Paramount). In 2024/25, Cristo continues his outstanding career with Babygirl (now in the top 10 biggest hits for A24), the unclassifiable queer feature Ponyboi (FOX Entertainment Studios), Pablo Trapero’s first English-language film & Sons (Elevation Pictures), and his selection for the prestigious composer festival organized by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) in Los Angeles, Future Ruins.
