In 1989, Jean-Charles Ostorero founded Julianne Films in Paris. He went on to produce numerous documentaries, fiction films, and animated works for Arte, Canal+, and France Télévisions. Sylvie Guérard’s animated film Yaourts mystiques received multiple awards at international festivals. In 2013, Jean-Charles Ostorero embarked on the most ambitious project of his career: the adaptation of the manga The summit of the gods by Jirô Taniguchi and Baku Yumemakura. Directed by Patrick Imbert, the film was selected for the Cannes Film Festival and went on to win the César Award for Best Animated Feature in 2022. He is currently developing two new feature films: a live-action project titled Êtes-vous heureux ?, written by Marine Petit, and a new animated adaptation of a manga by Jirô Taniguchi, Blanco.
