Co-founder of the production company Couronne Nord, Julie Groleau supports both emerging and established filmmakers by championing bold and distinctive works. She produced Viaduc (TIFF 2015, winner of Best Canadian Short Film, sold to Canal+), served as executive producer on Crème de menthe (Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2017), and production manager on Fauve (Oscar nominee, 2019). She also produced Jusqu’au déclin (The Decline), the first Canadian feature financed by Netflix, which reached over 21 million viewers in a single month. In 2025, she co-produced Chandler Levack’s Mile End Kicks, which premiered at TIFF. An alumna of programs such as Berlinale Talents, EAVE, and We Build Change, she is also actively engaged in conversations around mental health in the film industry. She is currently developing the feature films Le Prince (a Canada–France co-production) and Birthday (a France–Canada–Lebanon–Germany co-production).
