Laetitia Demessence is a French-Spanish filmmaker and screenwriter who grew up in Spain, Indonesia, and Chile before moving to Quebec to study film at the Université de Montréal. After her studies, she explored directing through various short film and dance film projects. She later graduated from the Feature Film Writing program at INIS, where she developed her first feature film and received the Louise Spickler Excellence Scholarship for it. Oraison is her debut feature film.
