After several years working in new media production (VR/AR), Marie Azancot transitioned into documentary distribution. Missing on-the-ground experience, she then moved to film sets, working as a production manager. She continued with various film and TV projects before committing herself to the societal and environmental transition of film productions. Driven by a strong personal ecological awareness, she became an eco-production coordinator on a range of projects. Since 2023, she has been involved with A Better Prod, where she currently holds the position of Director of Operations. A Better Prod supports the cultural and creative industries in their ecological and social transition through training programs, carbon assessments, and the implementation of sustainable practices, while also addressing the environmental impact of AI. Through eco-socio-production, Marie advocates for an approach that includes inclusion, gender parity, and the fight against violence and harassment—whether moral, sexist, or sexual—within the industry
