Marthe Lenoir is an independent French filmmaker born in 1999. She moved to Canada at the age of 10 and grew up in Ottawa before returning to France to study Directing and Stage Direction in Lyon. She has specialized as a script supervisor (Les charmantes fantaisies de Triton et Phalistère, La mûle) and as a writer-director (Memorabilia, selected for the Media Arts Panel at the Cinéfranco Festival, Toronto, 2024). Now based in Toronto, Marthe is currently in production on her first feature-length film, Power dam road, a documentary about the life of a farmer in Eastern Ontario, in which she serves as both director and cinematographer. She is also developing a new short documentary (Li(g)nes) and is preparing two fiction projects for the coming years. She is a member of the media arts centres RACCORD, Le Labo, and Charles Street Video. In addition, she works as a Junior Producer and Stage Manager at CORPUS (theatre and performance), and as a translator for Théâtre français de Toronto.
