Biography

Noémie Dansereau-Lavoie has been working for almost twenty years in the fields of culture and communications. Driven by a passion for ideas, she brings considerable expertise to some of the highest political, cultural, and media circles. Over the years, she spent several years at CBC/Radio-Canada, collaborated with leading institutions in Quebec, Canada, and Europe, including Médias Francophones Publics, and worked alongside the governments of Canada and Quebec, notably as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and within the cabinet of the Minister of the French Language and Francophone Affairs. As French Language Commissioner for the City of Montreal (2023–2025), Noémie developed and championed an ambitious, unifying vision for Montreal as the Francophone metropolis of the Americas, helping to boost its influence within the international Francophone community. She holds a master's degree in communication from UQAM and an executive certification from McGill University. Today, she channels her strategic vision and ability to bring people together in support of a bold, open Francophonie. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, she is a true advocate for diversity and dialogue.
