Armed with an impressive résumé, Rémy Girard has built a rich and prolific career. On stage, he has delivered memorable performances in numerous major roles, including in Coriolan. On television, he has appeared in many series, including Stat, L’échappée II-VII, Portrait-Robot I-II, Alertes II, Bones of Crows, Entre deux draps II-III, Les Mutants, 30 vies, Bunker le cirque, as well as all seasons of La petite vie. He also famously portrayed Papa Bougon in the cult series Les Bougon, c’est aussi ça la vie. On screen, he plays Stan, the coach and spiritual father, in Les Boys seasons I to VI. Rémy Girard has also demonstrated his skill in English-language comedy with the Canadian series InSecurity I and II, broadcast on CBC. Prolific in film, he began acting in the 1980s, but his career truly took off in 1986 with Le déclin de l’empire américain (D. Arcand). He went on to appear in La Florida (G. Mihalka), Dans le ventre du dragon (Y. Simoneau), and many other productions: Incendies (D. Villeneuve), Cabotins (A. Desrochers), De père en flic (É. Gaudreault), Les sept jours du Talion (Podz), Le grand départ (C. Meunier), Le piège américain, Maurice Richard, Un homme et son péché (C. Binamé), Bluff (M.-A. Lavoie & S.-O. Fecteau), and Les invasions barbares (D. Arcand). Between 1997 and 2005, he reprised the role of Stan in Les Boys I-IV. He later appeared in La chute de l’empire américain (D. Arcand), Il pleuvait des oiseaux (L. Archambault), Le club Vinland (B. Pilon), Tu te souviendras de moi (É. Tessier), Testament (D. Arcand), and Ababouiné (A. Forcier).
