Biography

Servan de James is a multifaceted filmmaker, inspired by the sea, surfing, and humor. A business graduate trained at Cours Florent, he quickly traded numbers for the camera. Fifteen years between Paris and Toronto shaped his distinctive career — as an actor, writer, director, and later, producer. He has directed several acclaimed short films (Nuit Parisienne, La Vie ne tient qu’à un fil), and his web series Les Galères de Pat has garnered over 13 million views on YouTube. A Talents en Court award winner with Noël Darwin, he founded Paradoxa Pictures, then Paradoxa BZH in 2024, a Breton company dedicated to bold, grounded creations. He is currently producing Trek Salama (pre-acquired by France TV) and developing his first feature film — a cinema blending poetry, social commitment, and bursts of laughter.
