Sylvain Corbeil founded the production company Metafilms in 2003. As of this day, he has produced 25 short and 30 feature films (Monia Chokri, Xavier Dolan, Maxime Giroux, ...), which have received numerous nominations and awards at prestigious festivals worldwide. His latest film Universal Language (Matthew Rankin, 2024), represents Canada at the 97th Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category and made it to the shortlist. Most recently, his film Peak Everything (Anne Émond, 2025) premiered at the Director’s Fortnight (Festival de Cannes) and was chosen as TIFF’s closing film.
