Biography

Vincent Lucassen was born in the Netherlands. He studied sociology at Wageningen University and went on to work as a lobbyist in Brussels. After completing his training at the Media Academy in Hilversum, he moved to Vienna, where in 2001 he co-founded the production company WILDart FILM with Ebba Sinzinger. That same year, he also co-founded dok.at, the Austrian Documentary Film Association. In 2004, he launched DocuZone Austria, an initiative bringing together rights holders and producers to promote films in the digital age. DocuZone became part of CinemaNet Europe, the world’s first international digital cinema network. Since 2011, Vincent has been working with Under The Milky Way, where he serves as a film aggregator for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the Baltic countries, Russia, and Turkey.
