Born in Guatemala, Yann-Manuel Hernandez is a Montreal-based producer and filmmaker. Co-founder of Les mains sales films in 2016, he develops hybrid works that explore the boundaries between fiction and documentary. His films, presented at festivals such as FNC, RIDM, Dresden, and Fantasia, address identity, memory, and trauma. His first feature film, Déserts, opened the Nouveaux Alchimistes section of the 2016 FNC, and his most recent film, Tout sur Margo, was selected for the National Feature Competition at the 2024 RIDM. Active on major international markets, he is currently producing Oraison, Laetitia Demessence's first feature film, with the support of Telefilm Canada.
