A competition of 16 short films, 11 of which are Quebec productions. And a dedicated jury, which will award two prizes :
- Prix de la critique AQCC for Best Short Film - with the support of Laboratoire de contenus La Marquise ($1,000 prize)
- Prix Télé-Québec for Best Quebec Short Film ($1,000 prize, broadcast on Télé-Québec's La Fabrique culturelle).
- A third award will be presented by a jury of young French-speaking Canadian professionals: the Prix Francophonie des Amériques, for the best short film in all categories, in partnership with the Secrétariat du Québec aux Relations canadiennes ($500 prize).
For the third year on, CINEMANIA will be hosting La Grande soirée du court québécois on Friday, November 3rd at Espace St-Denis Studio-Cabaret. On Thursday, November 9th, at the Cinémathèque québécoise, La Grande soirée du court international will feature several French short filmmakers: Enzo Martinez (Une nuit particulière), Massimo Riggi (Mamina) and Quentin Delcourt (Impatientes), whose visit to Montreal is made possible by Unifrance.
